About The Event
During this workshop, will be a contemplative exploration of different pranayama practices, using regulated breathing techniques which stimulate the vagal nerve, and in that way, positively affect the parasympathetic nervous system and also the ones that create vigour, vitality, and cleanse which in turn affect the sympathetic nervous system
In the yoga tradition, there are five movements/functions of prana known as the vayus (“winds”.) These five vayus govern different areas of the body and different physical and subtle activities. When the vayus are functioning harmoniously, they assure the health and vitality of the body and mind
We will flow in a simple way that will enable a more sophisticated and intimate relationship with our breaths and bodies, connecting to these vayus through mindful movements which allow us to develop an expanded inner awareness causing a positive effect in our experience.
You can expect to experience smooth movements, meditation and spiritual practice all in one that is not only connected and mindful but also profoundly deep
Practice will include:
* Introduction and explanation of different breathing techniques
* Pranayama Practice
* Explanation of the pancha vayus
* Yoga Flow practice adding the different breathing techniques throughout the duration of the practice
* Relaxation
* Tea + questions and answers
