Yoga Etiquette

  1. Arrive 5-10 minutes before the class. 
  2. Try not to eat too much at least 1 hour prior to yoga practice. 
  3. Personal hygiene is an integral part of practicing yoga. Ensure that you and your mat are clean before practice.
  4. Wear comfortable clothes and remove your socks before the practice starts, unless you wear grippy yoga socks.
  5. Purchase a yoga mat if you know you will practice often. I do rent yoga mats for £1 per session, but having your own mat supports your commitment to your practice and ensures its cleanliness.
  6. Remove your shoes when entering the studio. 
  7. Put your cell phone on airplane mode during the class. 
  8. Notify me of injuries or medical conditions. This helps me know how to assist you and give you modifications.
  9. Be consistent in your practice, be patient and compassionate with yourself.
