About The Event

A PLAYful Workshop suitable for regular yoga practitioners who would like to uncover and experience more lightness in their practice of arm and hand balance postures and inversions. We will take time to prepare the body with techniques that develop the stability, balance, strength and flexibility needed to make these advanced postures feel possible and I dare to say, effortless =) Options will be given to make it accessible for all, however bear in mind that you might not be able to do “everything” but at least it will give you the tools to eventually be able to do so

Once the body is ready for action, we will connect the dots through practice that invites and allows *smooth transitions from arm balance to inversion/arm balance and with this, the silent presence and slowing down of time that becomes available when we do this type of practice

Every movement, step, jump, transition and holding of postures provides us with an opportunity to deepen this connection to the present moment.

We will explore jumping in and out of crow from down dog, floating to forward fold and chaturanga.  As well as the many potentials within the crow family such as one legged crow, side crow, extended-arms crow, baby crow and more. We will pay a visit to elephant trunk, astavakrasana, aka papa koundinyasana I & II and of course, some inversions such as headstand, tripod and if time allows scorpion/pincha

*Eka pada galavasana (flying pigeon) and mayurasana will be on the cards too, time allowing

Note: Expect to learn, amuse and amaze yourself, but do not expect to be able to do everything on this one day, like everything in life, good things take time, practice and patience, you will learn lots about your body and how to use your inherent tools to transcend self-limiting beliefs ♥
