This is the quickest and yummiest breakfast for those of you who wake up hungry and don't have much time to make a nutritious brekki, this is a great recipe for summer months and you can pretty much add anything you love to it!
- Coconut milk (or any milk of your choice)
- Organic oats
- Chia seeds
- Goji berries
- Cinnamon powder
* Optional : Agave or maple syrup
- Vanilla extract
- Fruits of choice to top up
For one person, add half a cup of oats, cover in milk, enough to cover the oats since the oats will absorb the milk (roughly 3/4 cup of milk.) Add a pinch of cinnamon, a handful of goji berries, a spoonful of chia seeds, half a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a bit of agave.
You can also add açai if you have!
Cover mix with a plate and leave it in the fridge overnight.
The next morning, add any fruit of your choice on top <3
Goji berries and chia seeds are good sources of vitamins and minerals, including:
Goji Berries: Vitamin C, fiber, vitamin A, zinc, antioxidants
Chia Seeds: Protein, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium
Oats are loaded with important vitamins, minerals and antioxidant plant compounds. Half a cup of dry oats contains:
Smaller amounts of calcium, potassium, vitamin B6 and vitamin B3
