I thoroughly enjoyed the retreat with Amor.
I attended all the yoga classes available and enjoyed them all, there was no pressure to attend them all but I wanted to. The partner yoga was really fun and something new. The evening yin & nidra was amazing. The food was great and there was plenty of it. I did some of the activities that were available and sat by the pool & chilled a bit as well. I was a beautiful location, great yoga, good food & good company. I'd definitely recommend it and will return again.
I went on the yoga retreat with Amor in Amorgos island in Greece. I found the retreat on google and came from the US. I didn’t know what to expect considering I didn’t know anyone else going and had never taken one of Amor’s classes. Anyway, it was one of the best experiences I’ve had!
The hotel was absolutely perfect. The rooms are amazing, all with balconies and stunning views. There was an abundance of food and each meal had plenty of options no matter your diet. I loved Amor’s yoga classes. She offers an all levels class that can be accessible to anyone but still challenging. I was transformed during her Yin and Yoga nidra sessions and was moved by her words of wisdom. My favorite part was doing rooftop yoga overlooking the sun setting over the sea. I also attended a hiking excursion and paddle boarding and left feeling enriched, relaxed, and peaceful. Thank you for this experience!!
Wow, what a magical spot and peaceful place to relax and do yoga 🧘♀️ Amor is a fantastic teacher and you can feel the time and effort she puts in to EACH of her classes🙏 her experience and knowledge shows every posture and movement sequence she guides you through 💚loved the physical morning classes and chill down yin classes in the evening .
Retreat was out of season which suited me best as it was quieter and less crowded, but unfortunately there was a storm that prevented ferries to operate on the day we had to arrive at the retreat (September 27th) the locals said it was the first time happened in many years, which delayed us a bit getting to the island ! But a day in and it ALL was so worth it 🙏Amor was a great support handling all the stressful situation and did her very best keeping the communication between the hotel and us and all possibilities open . Hotel was beautiful and a staff friendly and helpful ,plenty of food to chose for lunch or dinner ! Can’t wait to join another year again!
When I booked my retreat with Amor (an instructor I was not familiar with) on a Greek island (that I’ve never heard of), I was taking of leap of faith and boy did it pay off. Amor’s teaching style was adaptable to accommodate the range of experience the attendees had with yoga. The hotel provided a beautiful backdrop for the spiritual and reflective practices Amor guided us through. The activities, meals, hotel amenities and rooms were fantastic. Amor made herself available to answer questions and was generous with her time. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to participate in first her retreat. It was just what my soul needed.
‘Amor’s Restore retreat in Amorgos was just what I needed- the perfect blend of yoga, relaxation and fun. I took so much from the experience and left feeling inspired to make changes and have kept up the (almost!) daily yoga since. I loved the way Amor structured the retreat and got so much from the workshop session including how to put together a home practice and nailing headstands which I wasn’t able to do before.
The hotel delivered everything to such a high standard and the nearly 360 degree sea views are immense! I loved how laid back the vibe on the island is and it all made for a great retreat- Thank you Amor! 💜✨’
We had a lovely time on the beautiful Amorgos island in the south Aegean sea. Amor put together a very nice yoga retreat for us.
The accommodations were great, the activities fun and yoga very relaxing.
I enjoyed the flexibility of the schedule. There were plenty of activities to partake in, but I did not feel obligated to join in. Being on vacation and not being a morning person I felt no pressure to attend the morning yoga classes for example.
Snorkeling was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the short boat trip over to our secluded cove. While I did not see a lot of sea life it was nice just to swim around in the ocean and enjoy the setting.
I enjoyed the evening yoga nidra classes and the playful partner class the one day. Amor did a good job of guiding us through the classes and making us feel comfortable.
Breakfast and dinner were arranged for us in a buffet style and there was a nice spread to choose from. Most of the time we sat at larger tables as a group. This was a nice way to get to know some of the other yogis. On occasion it might have been nice to have been given a bit more freedom to roam and sit in smaller groups or on our own though. And a non-buffet option would have been a nice touch as well. Slightly longer windows to choose when to attend the meals would have been nice as well. The hotel seems to run a lot of retreats, with some overlap, so I understand that logistically this may have been more of a challenge to accommodate.
Thanks for a nice retreat Amor!
What an experience this was! Is the very first time I booked an organised retreat/holiday, and I'm so glad I did!
Once we got to Amorgos, the hotel bus was there ready for us to be taken with comfort to our accomodation. The hotel was beautiful with a stunning view in the sea and sunset. We had a really warm welcome and we have been so well looked after throughout our staying by all the staff of the hotel and even the owners! We had breakfast and dinner included, it was buffet style and loved the food! Everything was so simple but such an explosion of flavours, you can tell the food was high quality and prepared with the most care. I enjoyed every single bite! There were plenty of activities to choose from, I personally did SUP board and the island tour, I enjoyed it all very much! The water was phenomenal, so crystal clear and actually not cold at all! The people on the island are great, it made me want to move to Greece ah! Amor is one of the best yoga teacher you can possible dream of, the way she teaches, the loving and peaceful energy she shares with everyone. Yoga can be challenging and really makes you work through more than just your physical body. I went to Greece tired and stressed from work, and came out of it so recharged and full of purpose and drive. I don't practice yoga regularly, but I totally fell in love with yin yoga and the peacefulness and stillness it brings to my always running mind. None of this would have happened if it wasn't for Amor bringing us together in such a magical location. I made amazing new friends, so blessed to have met such kind souls. If you have the opportunity to book her next yoga retreat, do it! You will be so grateful you did! Thank you Amor, I love you! Can’t wait to join another year again!
