According to yoga tradition, the subtle body is a part of you that you can’t see or touch—it’s where your energy flows, which is why it’s also referred to as the energy body. There are seven key points in the subtle body that are thought to be vortexes of energy, known as chakras.
When energy becomes blocked in a chakra, it triggers physical, mental, or emotional imbalances that manifest in symptoms such as anxiety, lethargy, or poor digestion. A well-tuned asana practice can free up energy and stimulate an imbalanced chakra, paving the way for that wonderful internal shift for which yoga is known.
In this workshop we will learn what chakras are and how we can tap into them as a potent way of harnessing and shifting your energy in the direction we want it to go.The workshop will start with an introduction to chakras followed by a yoga practice which will be focused in activating each one of the 7 chakras and release and/or prevent blockages. After this, you will be guided through sounds that help resonate and balance these centres of energy and finally you will be guided through a relaxation known as Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep).
The yoga theory and practice will be two hours. After that, we’ll spend some time off the mat enjoying tea, homemade treats and a chat!
